It’s a little fiddly, but with the help of a few tutorials, there really is no stopping the absurdities that follow suit. In a bid to let budding creators get handsy with their Sims, one modder in particular made the decision to build MorphMaker, a canvas that lets you mold your vampires, mermaids, and magicians into any shape that takes your fancy. MorphMakerĪs devoted as Electronic Arts is to establishing new playable species to customize, the truth is, there really is no pleasing the modding community. And although they aren’t bound to a single all-in-one mod, they are easy to find and install, which means you’ll have no issue getting a few more options for your Sims’ career ladders. We’ve all made an astronaut at some stage in our Sims careers, right? It’s almost expected at this point, which is precisely why a whole bunch of community modders went through the struggle of implementing another dozen or so careers for players to work through. Sound intriguing? You can shroud your world in the thick yellow fog and start transforming your beloved neighbors into flesh-deprived corpses right now, so long as you don’t mind turning everything you’ve built on its head. As the puppeteer of sorts, you can decide who to infect, who to keep alive, and how to navigate an entirely new world that’s both dead and on the verge of collapse. It was only a matter of time, really, but the simple fact is, yes, there is a mod that allows you to spread a zombie plague across your entire town. Luckily for budding culinary wizards, though, this mod lets you not only purchase a wide array of ingredients, but rustle up complete three course meals and experimental snacks and beverages. There’s a problem here, and that is, well, it’s unrealistic, and it misses out on the best part of cooking, in general, which is the actual cooking process. It’s common knowledge that any Sim, regardless of their culinary experience, can whip up a hearty meal without having to leave the freezer compartment. And this doesn’t just apply for any gloomy mood, either, but more so the entire spectrum of needs, wants, and emotions. This is because, well, rather than curing your Sims’ depression with an ice cream sundae, the mod instead prolongs their emotions and frames of mind, which means you’ll have to work thrice as hard to banish any negative thoughts. The idea behind the Emotional Interia mod is simple in design, and yet easily one of the most challenging on the current market. Best mods in The Sims 4? We’ve got you covered. Having said that, if you have already mopped up all there is to see and do and aren’t overly sure where to go next, then rest assured that these following mods will surely give you plenty of additional hours to shovel through. The fact is, the base game and all its expansions are still absolutely bursting with mechanical tweaks, visual upgrades, and ludicrously entertaining mods-and it isn’t likely to change anytime soon, either.įortunately, with The Sims 5 still being a couple of years away at the very least, it does mean you can remain an active member of the current community, which is evidently rife with things to achieve and explore. Electronic Arts may just be about ready to wipe its hands clean with The Sims 4 in favor of the next instalment, but that doesn’t mean the modding community is ready to abandon ship just yet.
